Our Directors

Ir KB Lee is responsible for the company’s overall business direction, supervision and management of the company’s technical department. He graduated from the National University of Malaysia with a first-class honour in Civil and Structural Engineering in 1993, before commencing his path in the field of temporary works for construction. He is a professional engineer registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) since 2001. Ir KB Lee then co-founded a leading scaffolding company in Malaysia in 2014 and was appointed as a Director. Subsequently, Ir KB Lee was appointed as a Director in Era Scaffold System Sdn Bhd in 2021.

Ir KB Lee has over 20 years of experience specialising in temporary works for construction, which include scaffolding, falsework, formwork and self climbing platform system. He offers solution-oriented advices and designs on wide range of distinct sectors, including buildings, structural and infrastructure works, warehousing and factories, oil and gas, aircrafts and shipyards.

Ir KB Lee is currently an active technical committee of Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) for CIS22 “Safe Use of Scaffolding in Construction” and CIS23 “Safe Use Falsework in Construction” and the Chairman for the technical committee of Department of Standards Malaysia (DSM) for “Malaysia Standard for Scaffolding & Falsework”. He was the committee member of Civil & Structural Engineering Technical Division, the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and was also the Chairman of committee for “Prevention of Collapse of Scaffolding & Falsework” and had published a position paper for IEM in 2015 on the same topic.

Besides being invited frequently to speak in seminars, forums and workshops on various topics pertaining to scaffolding and falsework organised by IEM, CIDB, DOSH, NIOSH and JKR, he had also participated in the following committees for the drafting of the Malaysian Engineering Standards:

(i) SI RIM-I EM SWO Technical Committee for “Code of Practice for Design of Structural Steel (EC3)”;
(ii) SIRIM Technical Committee for “Steel Materials for Structural Purposes”;
(iii) SIRIM Technical Committee for “Steel Products”;
(iv) SIRIM Working Group for “Metal Equipment for Falsework & Propping”;
(v) SIRIM Working Group for “Tubular & Prefabricated Scaffoldings”.

As the Sales Director, Mr Allen Lim is responsible to oversee the company’s business growth, corporate planning, evaluation and development of all marketing strategies and plans. He acquired his Advance Diploma in Sales and Marketing in 2003. Thereafter, he set foot in the construction field niche in scaffolding and other temporary works for construction.

Mr Allen Lim has over 16 years of experience in sale and marketing of construction scaffolding. In 2013, he co-founded a leading scaffolding company in Malaysia and was appointed as a Director. Subsequently, Mr Allen Lim was appointed as a Director in Era Scaffold System Sdn Bhd in 2021.

Mr Allen Lim is well accustomed to the operation, functionality and practicability of all products offered by the company. He is skilfully equipped to ascertain the distinct needs of each client from wide range of distinct sectors, including the temporary works for infrastructures, buildings, warehousing and factories, industrial projects, oil and gas, aircrafts and shipyards. As an experienced marketeer in construction scaffolding, he is also proficient in oral illustration and comparison of all temporary works systems available in the market.

Amongst some notable construction projects participated by Mr Allen Lim are the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KUA 2) construction, MRT Line 1 and 2 construction, LRT Line 1, 2 and 3 construction, Bus Rapid Transit Line construction, Duke Highway construction, West Coast Expressway construction, Sabah Chief Minister Office Building construction, PNB KL 118 Tower construction and the Cyberjaya Income Tax Building construction.
